Requisites and Compatibility
The hardwares, operating systems, libraries and third-party applications in this page are recommendations for optimal use.
When trying the Demo examples, all deployments can be performed on the same Linux machine.
Acklio FullSDK
Support | Recommendation |
---|---|
OS | The library can be integrated into any OS (Bare Metal, FreeRTOS). The integration is made by the system integrator (or embedded system developers). |
Hardware/Board | ST NUCLEO-L476RG micro-controller or ST NUCLEO-WL55JC micro-controller. |
Hardware/Shield | LR1110, sx126x, SX1276MB1MAS. |
Hardware/Serial | Serial port terminal such as minicom. |
L2A | The level-two adaptation (L2A) layer is usually provided by the integrator and should implement the L2 adaptation (L2A) interface of the SDK. |
Acklio IPCore
Hardened OS based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (at least 18.04)
Virtualization Layers
All components of Acklio IPCore are docker-based.
Support | Recommendation |
---|---|
Guest OS | Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (at least 18.04). |
Host OS | No specific requirements. |
Virtualization Layer | Docker v18.09.02. |
Virtual layers | Any such as Xen, KVM, VMWare or cloud-based PAAS appliance like Azure, AWS. |
Virtual node deployment systems | Any systems that support the deployment of virtual appliances are supported. Then, Docker Compose is used to install the applications on instantiated virtual nodes (hardened Linux with Docker feature enabled). |
Hardware Performance
Support | Recommendation |
---|---|
Processor | Virtual core or physical core should offer the performance of a 2.3 GHz Intel Xeon® E5-2686 v4 core. |
RAM | DDR4 is mostly used |
Storage | The storage performance requirements depend on the size of the network. |
Network | Gbits networks are enough for all internal/external exchange. |
