Type 1WL Geolocation Module Evaluation kit (EVK) Introduction
The EVK is the evaluation kit for the ultra-low power geolocation module co-developed by Murata and Abeeway. It is particularly useful for evaluation of the module and to accelerate the development of your applications. The SDK provides all the board related drivers allowing the device manufacturers to focus on their application firmware. The module evaluation kit supports all the functionalities of the module:
- All radio systems accessible with SMA connectors: LoRaWAN, WiFi sniffing, BLE sniffing, GNSS
- Digital interfaces such as I2C, LPUART, UART and SPI
- GPIOs are connected to an Arduino style connector, buttons and LEDs
- Rich power management circuit with LDO and charger to support external dc source, primary or secondary battery.
- MEMS : accelerometer and pressure sensor attached to I2C interface.
- 3x USB port to supply board.
- ST-LINK interfaces to output data.
Flash the pre-compiled application
The easiest way to get started with the discovery kit is to flash the pre-compiled demo application on the module. Here are the key steps:
- Place the jumpers correctly as shown in the diagram below
- Download and install STM32CubeProgrammer
- Download the pre-compiled binary from GitHub
- Connect the Evaluation board through USB3 micro-USB port
- Flash the module binary into the board using STM32CubeProgrammer
