Sending a multicast group test downlink
To test the radio coverage of the base stations associated with your multicast group, you can send a test downlink.
-
In the left panel, select Multicast Groups.
-
To send a downlink to the multicast group, do one of the following:
-
On the multicast group, click > Send Downlink.
-
Click the name of the multicast group, then click
-
-
In the Send Downlink dialog box, enter a payload and a port. You must respect the following constraints:
-
Enter the desired Payload (FRMPayload in LoRaWAN® specification) that you want to send to the multicast group in a downlink packet, in hexadecimal format. The maximum size is 242 bytes: a hexadecimal digit (0 to 9, and A to F) with a multiple of 2 number of digits, up to a maximal length of 484 digits.
-
Enter the LoRaWAN® Port. This corresponds to the FPort in LoRaWAN® specification, associated with the payload, with an integer value between 1 and 223.
-
-
Click Validate.
-> Partial and final multicast summary reports are displayed in the list to follow the result of the downlink transmissions.
-> A confirmation notification displays on your screen.
