Duplicating a multicast group

Duplicating a multicast group allows copying some configuration elements from an existing multicast group while adding a new multicast group to the system.

The copied configuration applies to the following attributes:

  • Domains
  • Base Station Tags
  • Class type
  • Ping-slot period (if class B)
  • Downlink frequency
  • Downlink data rate
  • Connections
  • Connectivity plan (if applicable, not relevant for self-hosted TPE)

To learn more, see Multicast group attributes.

  1. In the left panel, select Multicast Groups, then search for the multicast group you want to duplicate.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • From the multicast group's detailed dashboard, click at the top right corner of the page.

    • From the multicast group list, click in the last column of the table, then select Duplicate.

-> You are redirected to the Adding a multicast group screen. Parameters inherited from the original multicast group are prefilled.

  3. Complete the creation form by filling the empty fields and updating prefilled fields if necessary. To learn more about completing this form, see Adding a multicast group.
