to download the chart as an image.
On the RECENT ALARMS widget, click the widget's title to access the full list of alarms.
Viewing the device list
To view the list of devices under your account, click Devices from the left menu of the user interface, then choose between the List and Map views. To access the details of a given device, click its name.
You can use filters to focus on devices fulfilling specific criteria. Filters apply equally to the list and map views of your devices. For more information, see Filtering devices.
List view
You can access the device list in tabular view through the List tab.
To learn more about the meaning of each column in the table, see Device attributes or hover your pointer over the column header to display its tooltip.
Devices show their health state using a colored bullet. For more information, see Device health states.
Hover your pointer on the device name, to open its details in
a new tab of your browser.
This tip is useful when you want to compare
the configuration or performance of several devices, by opening
their detailed pages side by side.
The numbers displayed at the top left of the tab indicate the number
of devices on the current page out of the total number of devices
matching your filtering criteria (if you have set active filters).
In the example , 987 is the total
count of devices and 1-100 means that you are on the first page and each
page includes 100 devices.
- You may change the number of elements per page through
above the table.
- Use the arrows
at the bottom of the table to switch between pages. You may also type the required page number to directly access it.
Other actions on the device list are described in the following table:
Action | Tips |
---|---|
Sorting devices | To sort all devices of the list according to a column header, click the ascending or descending gray arrow of this column By default, devices are ordered by ascending name. |
Hiding /Showing columns | click |
Exporting your list | To export the full list of BS matching your active filters (across all pages), click |
Map view
You can visually locate your devices on an interactive map by selecting the Map tab of the devices list.
The map view is relevant only for devices having correct coordinates, either manually set by the device manager or derived by the network through the geolocation feature.
The marker associated with each device represents its health state. This allows you to quickly spot geographical locations where devices have connection issues.
Depending on the zoom applied on your map, devices may be grouped in clusters.
- A cluster is represented by a green circle with the number of devices inside.
- You must break down the cluster into individual devices to access their details.
- If a cluster is displayed, click it as necessary until it breaks into smaller clusters and/or devices. You can also zoom in and click SEARCH THIS AREA.
Besides the map, the devices that are not grouped in clusters appear
also on the left pane of your screen, as per the following example:
- On the left pane, click a device's name to view its quick summary. To learn more about the related summary fields, see Device attributes.
- Use the
button to unfold the left pane and focus on the map.
- Use the
button to display the map in full screen mode.
- Hover your pointer over a device marker on map, to highlight it on the left pane and vise versa.
Filtering devices
You can use filters to focus on devices fulfilling specific criteria. Filters apply equally to the list and map views of your devices. Your last filter selection is saved in your web browser and applies to the same computer.
- If no filtering is currently applied to your list, click Add filter.
- Else, to edit the active filters, click Edit filters.
- To delete a specific active filter, click the filter
cross
.
- To delete all active filters, click Clear all.
In the Filter devices dialog box that opens, restrict your search using the filters you want.
Filter | Description |
---|---|
Filter by name or DevEUI (device identifier) | Single-valued search by name or DevEUI. The search is case-insensitive, it supports prefix match as well as wildcard by % character to search within a string. Tip You can copy and paste a DevEUI you get from the traffic shown by Wireless Logger application to investigate further a device. |
Health state | To learn more, see Device health states. At least, one value must be applied. |
Average SNR | Retrieves devices having an average Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) above/below a value. Use >= if you want to list devices having SNR higher than or equal to X dB, then set X in the frame beside the >= operator. Use <= if you want to list devices having SNR lower than or equal to the defined value. This filter allows you to quickly list devices having bad uplink reception quality. |
Battery | Retrieves devices according to their battery status. This filter allows you to quickly list devices having low battery level, for instance, 10% or less. Devices with unknown battery level or using external power are found by selecting All. |
Tags | Retrieves devices associated with at least one of the specified tags, based on an auto-suggestion of existing tags of your device fleet. Multiple tags are allowed. |
Domains | Only display devices associated with one of the specified domains. This filter is only available if the permission segregation based on domains has been enabled by an administrator. See About domains for more details. |
Minimum alarm severity | Retrieves devices having at least one active and non-acknowledged alarm with severity equal to the selected severity or higher. For more information about device alarms and their severity, see About device alarms. |
Connectivity Plan | Retrieves devices associated with a specific Connectivity Plan. This filter is only available if Connectivity Plans is displayed in the left panel. |
If Connectivity Plans is not displayed in the left panel, the Connectivity Plan filter is replaced by two optional filters representing the value-added features that your devices may be using:
- Network Geolocation: Filter devices according to the activation status of the Network Geolocation feature.
- Roaming: Filter devices according to the roaming activation status.
Tagging a bulk of devices
Each device may be associated with one or several administrative tags, to easily group objects and filter them accordingly. You can also tag devices to group or segregate them according to their applicative usage. Device tags are part of the device metadata that are reported through connections to external IoT applications.
You must be assigned either an Administrator or a Device Manager role to run this task. Read-only users (being assigned a Viewer role) cannot tag/untag devices.
Follow these steps to tag/untag devices in bulk, instead of doing it one by one:
-
From the left menu, select Devices.
-
Use the adequate filters to find the devices to tag/untag. To learn more, see Filtering devices.
-
To select the devices to tag/untag:
-
From the list view: select one or more devices by checking the left box. Checking the header checkbox selects all the devices on the current page. Then click the
button above the table to tag/untag the selected devices.
-
From the map view: Go to the Map tab then select the the geographical area of interest. This tagging option is useful when you want to tag devices according to their geographical location.
If a cluster is displayed, click it as necessary until it breaks into smaller clusters and/or devices. You can also zoom in and click SEARCH THIS AREA.
When the clusters are broken down into individual devices, click Tag/Untag all displayed devices
that appears now as activated.
-
-
To add new tags to the selected devices, click
.

Associating a bulk of devices with domains
You may associate your devices with domains to restrict their visibility to only authorized users. For more details see About domains.
You must be assigned either an Administrator or a Device Manager role to run this task. Read-only users (being assigned a Viewer role) cannot associate devices with domains.
If your user account has domain restrictions, the devices must still satisfy your domain restrictions after the execution of this procedure. It means that:
- You cannot replace an existing domain with another domain not matching your domain restrictions.
- You cannot remove a domain matching your domain restrictions.
Follow these steps to associate your devices with domains in bulk, instead of doing it one by one:
-
From the left menu, select Devices.
-
Use the adequate filters to find the devices to update. To learn more, see Filtering devices.
-
To select the devices on which you want to update the domain association:
-
