Managing devices' connections
If you are entitled to an Administrator role or to a Devices, multicast groups and connections manager role, then you can manage the list of connections associated with a device. Otherwise, you cannot perform the following procedure.
-
Select Devices.
-
On the List tab, click the name of the device for which you want to manage the connections.
-
Go to CONNECTIONS to see the list of connections currently associated with the device.
- Each connection is associated with a colored bullet displayed alongside the logo of the connection. This colored bullet shows the connection's current health state. To learn more, see Checking connection health states.
- If the permission segregation based on domains has been enabled by an administrator user and your user account has domain restrictions, some connections may not match your domain restrictions. The logo and the health state are not visible for such connections.
-
If you want to add a connection, click ADD A CONNECTION then select a connection in the list and confirm your changes.
-> A confirmation notification displays on your screen.
noteYou cannot associate more than 5 connections with a device.
-
If you want to update a connection, click Edit on the right of the connection you want to update then select a new connection in the list and confirm your changes.
-> A confirmation notification displays on your screen.
-
If you want to delete a connection, click Delete on the right of the connection you want to delete.
-> A confirmation notification displays on your screen.
noteYou cannot delete the last connection because a device must be associated with at least one connection.
