Supported brands of base stations
ThingPark supports a wide variety of LoRaWAN® base stations, with two different packet forwarders:
- ThingPark's Long Range Relay (LRR) is the recommended packet forwarder, thanks to its very rich set of radio and O&M functions that are homogeneously supported across all gateway models.
- Semtech's Basics Station packet forwarder.
The following video gives you insights about ThingPark LRR and its key differentiators from Basics Station:
Base stations compatible with LRR packet forwarder
The following LoRaWAN® base stations (gateways) support ThingPark's Long Range Relay (LRR) packet forwarder.
Browan
The following base station models from Browan brand support ThingPark's Long Range Relay (LRR) packet forwarder.
Browan gateways do not support any remote upgrade procedure of the factory’s firmware. You must ensure that the firmware version installed in factory on your base station is compatible with the ThingPark LRR software. For more information, see Browan base stations.

Kerlink
The following base station models from Kerlink brand support ThingPark's Long Range Relay (LRR) packet forwarder.
Due to a current Kerlink limitation, the remote upgrade from KerOS 4.3.3 to KerOS 5.11.0 using Kerlink's live-burner will reset the network configuration of the base station.
Accordingly, do not attempt to remotely upgrade the firmware from KerOS 4.3.3 to KerOS 5.11.0 if your base station does not use an ethernet connection in DHCP configuration.

Base stations compatible with Basics Station packet forwarder
You may connect gateways not supporting the LRR packet forwarder if they support Semtech's Basics Station packet forwarder.
The following list is not exhaustive: any gateway supporting Basics Station and CUPS protocols can be connected to ThingPark core network.
-
Browan Minihub Pro and MerryIoT. Note Both models do not support the remote shell feature.
-
Milesight UG63 and SG50 Note Both models do not support the remote shell feature.
To learn more about connecting those gateways to ThingPark, see Configure a Basic Station packet forwarder to connect ThingPark.
