Changing the geolocation configuration of the base station

If you want to improve the precision of the network geolocation, run this procedure. If you are entitled to an Administrator role or to a Base Stations Manager role, you can use this latter.

Note You can configure only one antenna per base station.

Note This feature is not available through DX-API. Hence, the base station advanced configuration (antenna and fine timestamp decryption key) can only be run through ThingPark Enterprise UI, in the current release.

  1. Select Base Stations.

  2. On the List tab, click the name of the base station for which you want to change the information.

  3. Select the Antennas tab.

  4. In the base station information panel that displays, unfold the Advanced geolocation configuration panel.

-> A confirmation notification displays on your screen.

Note The base station coordinates are used as default value in the antenna coordinates.

  5. Change the required parameters in Edit mode if you need to improve the precision of the network geolocation.

-> After you have confirmed the changes, one of the following notifications display in the upper right corner of your screen:

    • The fine timestamp decryption key for the base station has been updated.

    • The update of fine timestamp decryption key for the base station has failed.

    • Fine timestamp decryption key update request has been sent to the base station.
