Tagging base stations
Tagging base stations allows you to filter base stations and to associate base stations with multicast groups.
You can also remove tags using the same command. Tags are deleted when not used.
Tagging base stations from the list
Select Base Stations.
On the List tab, filter according to the criteria you want to tag the base stations. To learn more, see Filtering base stations and Viewing all base stations in the list
Select one or more base stations by checking a box. Checking the header check box selects all base stations on the page.
-> The tag icon is activated.
Click Tag/Untag
to tag the selected base stations.
In Tags, click
to add a tag.
In Name, type to find an existing tag or to create a new tag.
In Usage:
Select Administrative if you want this tag to be used for base stations filtering.
Select Multicast if you want this tag to be used for multicast group association.
Click the folding arrow. If you want to add more tags, repeat from step 4 as necessary.
Click Validate.
Tagging base stations from the map
Tagging your base stations with the Map allows you to apply a tag to the base stations that share the same geographical location.
Select Base Stations.
Select the Map tab, and filter according to the criteria you want to tag the base stations. To learn more, see Filtering base stations and Viewing base stations on the map.
If a cluster is displayed, click it as necessary until it breaks into clusters and/or base stations. You can also zoom in and click SEARCH THIS AREA.
-> When one or more base stations are found, they appear simultaneously with a health status marker on the map and the list pane.
Tip To help you locate visually a base station or get its identifiers: When hovering your pointer over a base station marker, it enlarges and the base station identifiers are highlighted in the list pane.
When the clusters are broken down in the area where you want to tag base stations, click Tag/Untag all displayed base stations
that appears now as activated.
In Tags, click
to add a tag to the base stations selected on the map.
In Name, type to find an existing tag or to create a tag.
In Usage:
