Associating base stations with domains

If you are entitled to an Administrator role or to a Base Stations Manager role, you can run this procedure.

Associating base stations with domains allows to restrict their visibility. For more details see Domains.

note

If your user account has domain restrictions, the base stations must still satisfy your domain restrictions after the execution of this procedure. It means that:

• You cannot replace an existing domain with another domain not matching your domain restrictions
• You cannot remove a domain matching your domain restrictions

Associating base stations with domains from the list

1. Click Base stations.

2. On the List tab, filter the base stations based on your desired criteria. For more information, see Filtering base stations and Viewing all base stations in the list.

3. Select base stations by ticking the corresponding boxes.

   -> The domains icon is activated.

4. Click to associate the selected base stations with domains.

5. In Add or replace domains, click to add a domain.

6. In Name, type to find and select the domain to add.

   note

   If some selected base stations are already associated with domains belonging to the same group, those domains are replaced with the new one.

7. Repeat the steps 4 and 5 for each domain to add.

8. In Remove domains, click to remove a domain.

9. In Name, type to find and select the domain to remove.

10. Repeat the steps 7 and 8 for each domain to remove.

11. Click VALIDATE.

    -> The selected domains are added/replaced/removed from the selected base stations.

Associating base stations with domains from the map

Associating base stations with domains from the map allows you to perform domains association based on the geographical location.

1. Click Base stations, then click the Map tab and filter the base stations based on your desired criteria. For more information, see Filtering base stations and Viewing base stations on the map.

2. Zoom until no clusters appear on the map.

   -> The domains icon is activated.

3. Click to associate the displayed base stations with domains.

4. In Add or replace domains, click to add a domain.

5. In Name, type to find and select the domain to add.

   note

   If some displayed base stations are already associated with domains belonging to the same group, those domains are replaced with the new one.

6. Repeat the steps 4 and 5 for each domain to add.

7. In Remove domains, click to remove a domain.

8. In Name, type to find and select the domain to remove.

9. Repeat the steps 7 and 8 for each domain to remove.

10. Click VALIDATE.

    -> The selected domains are added/replaced/removed from the displayed base stations.
