Supervision using SNMP

You can use SNMP on a self-hosted ThingPark Enterprise platform to perform platform monitoring and alarming tasks.

The platform monitoring via SNMP is available only with the Appliance/VM deployment method and is configured in Cockpit.

SNMP allows you to monitor your ThingPark Enterprise platform by using an SNMP client.

The SNMP client monitors the following:

Alarming

SNMP allows you to be notified of base stations' and devices' alarms by receiving SNMP traps on an SNMP server. Notifications of alarms via SNMP are added to the notifications of alarms via email.

SNMP traps are defined in the MIBs that are provided by Actility: ACTILITY-MIB.my and THINGPARK-WIRELESS-MIB.my.
